Blueberries Smoothie for Breakfast

I love making fresh smoothies for my family in the morning. It’s a delicious and convenient way to get some servings of fruit into our diet. I usually pour the smoothies in my daily water bottle which makes me hydrated and fresh all day long.

Blueberry smoothie recipe

Ingredients: (for three 16oz smoothies):

• 7-8 oz bananas
• 3-4 oz Greek yogurt
• 5-6 oz frozen blueberries
• 5-6 oz frozen mango
• 16-20 oz skim milk
• 1-2 tsp of real maple syrup or local honey
• Pinch of salt

Optional Ingredients: throw in a handful of baby spinach for extra nutrients that no one will know is there!

How I make Blueberry-Banana Smoothie for breakfast.

I use the measurement markings on my blender to approximate amounts of each ingredient. I start with the lowest speed, work my way up to the highest, which is liquefied on my blender until all parts form a slushy whirlpool. Then blend for at least 1 minute, shake well, until completely smooth.

The dogs love that I now can bring water for them on long walks because the pet bowl is also lightweight, collapsible, and hooks to a belt loop or purse strap.
